626sampler arcadia: Sold out!
The 626Sampler made its first round at the 626 Night Market’s flagship location, Arcadia! Over 600 people enjoyed the four featured vendors and their offerings: Baozza, Zindrew Wonton Shop, Frozen Sweet, and Uncle Tea. For only $19.99, the 626Sampler was the budget-friendly pack of mini meals that attendees could use for a new experience.
The program was once again coordinated by Special Projects Staff, Bernadette Velasco.
Baozza
Originating in China and making its name in the U.S., Baozza is a novel fusion of Chinese baozi and American pizza. Each bao is filled with a pizza-style stuffing of your choice. There is the classic pepperoni flavor, the meaty italian sausage and BBQ chicken styles, or the vegetarian options of cheesy spinach or margherita. Served either steamed or fried, with a nearby sauce table to dress it as you prefer, Baozza was a hearty, savory entree to kick off the sampler.
ZinDrew Wonton Shop
ZinDrew Wonton Shop offered 3 meaty wontons sauced in their housemade, personal version of chili oil. Topped with fresh scallions, crunchy sesame seeds, and nutty sesame oil, ZinDrew’s Wontons served as the perfect vehicle for guests to understand just how good the ZinDrew Chili Oil is.
Frozen Sweet
After two incredibly savory entrees, Frozen Sweet provided sweet relief from the heat with their homemade frozen custards. Served in 8oz cups, the creamy, velvety treat featured a diverse array of flavors to choose from: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mango, Durian, Ube, Matcha or Lychee. With both classic American and Asian flavors to choose from, there was definitely a dessert for everyone.
Uncle Tea
Uncle Tea’s specialty is exactly what you think it is: tea! Attendees were able to choose any drink from the menu that suited their fancy. Options included: Golden Orange Green Tea, Pink Lady Green Tea, Fruit Mojitos, Ube Messy Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Tiger Milk, Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea, Thai Milk Tea, and Classic Milk Tea. With your choice of a refreshing light fruit tea or a creamy sweet milk tea, Uncle Tea was the perfect drink to sip on while exploring the rest of the night market.
