The Silent Treatment: Silent Disco at the Arcadia and Bay Area Locations

The month of July brought two more fun-filled events to more 626 Night Market locations. Both Arcadia and Bay Area silent discos featured 6 amazing local DJs, including a very special guest!

On July 13th, the Arcadia location included DJs playing Electronic, R&B Throwbacks, Global, and K-Pop music. Guests checked out all available headsets 45 minutes into the show. People were headbanging to EDM, swaying to nostalgic throwbacks, and line-dancing to iconic global music.

The dance floor immediately turned into a line-dance stampede as the Global genre played “el Payaso del Rodeo.” Guests who were on other channels quickly flipped to the genre to join in on the fun.

Once K-Pop came on, guests quickly switched to the channel and began dancing to songs such as “OMG” by NewJeans and “Work” by ATEEZ. Nobody could forget about the classics though, where the R&B Throwbacks blasted “Blow the Whistle” by Too $hort and “Bebot” by the Black Eyed Peas.

After a night of fun-filled laughs and sing-alongs, guests felt very happy with the experience.

“Events like this are so much fun!” said one guest, “The DJs were so fun, and I was enjoying all the different genres.”

The backdrop had colorful doodles from guests of all ages, including the San Francisco skyline and iconic Night Market foods.

The DJs also spun Electronic, R&B Throwbacks, and K-Pop genres. At the home of the Hyphy movement, the DJs wasted no time bumping “Tell Me When to Go” by E-40 into the headsets.

The K-Pop genre played both classics and new songs, including artists from Girls Generation to Le Sserafim. As the night ended, the MCs announced gratitude towards the participants, and gave the DJs a huge shoutout for an amazing night.
